This blog is an AI-free zone
Question: Why don't I use AI to create this blog?
Answer: Because AI is gross.
A longer and more detailed answer: I actually enjoy reading and writing and engaging with my own critical thinking skills on a daily basis. There is no need for this blog to contribute to the pile of Internet Garbage™ that is todays' AI-infused Internet.
All the blog posts on A Total Guiri Move come directly from my brain, whether in English or Spanish. I don't use spellcheck or autocorrect or google translate. nada. Just my brain and occasionally i will look up words in the diccionario de la RAE. There is little to no editing.

Definitely the best photo I've ever taken from the Puente de Triana |
If you are looking for beautiful dreamy photos of Spain, this is not the space to find those photographs. All the photos you see here are ones I actually took myself with my camera phone and my middling to poor photography skills. Some people are really talented photographers whose photographs leap off the page with life. Mine aren't, and I'm okay with that. I snap one photo and move on. Let me assure you that all the places I write about on this blog look waaaay better in real life.
If AI-produced internet "content" (shudder) is a mass produced bollycao, my blog is a lopsided buñuelo that looks kind of messy. but to the right person, it's a better pastry. Nowhere else on the internet are you going to get some crazy guiri reviewing random indoor activities in Madrid and Sevilla in the context of "can both me and my preschooler enjoy this space/activity?"
(The ironía is not lost on me that anything I publish on this blog is probably getting slurped up and regurgitated by the AI machine right now. Le sigh.)
anyway, tldr: let us never forget the real purpose of this blog, which is 1) to document fun things I have done and, even more importantly, 2) to creatively procrastinate from doing the things I need to do in my daily life, such as my job.
PD: I really hate the euphemistic expression "creator" when people actually mean "marketer". No shade to marketers, but a marketer is not an artist.
