Sevilla isn’t what it was.

Sevilla is a magnet for weirdos, among which I count myself. and now the wonderful weirdness of sevilla has been pushed to the margins, to the edge of triana and the macarena.

The ayuntamiento has cut off bus and car traffic to downtown (unless you are a tourist or an aristocrat who lives in a palace downtown, then your luxury vehicle is very welcome to prowl the pedestrian areas). The dirtiness, grittiness, delightful old scruffy bars and people, have vanished. I thought it was covid, but nope. It's the new Seville.
