The Secret to Keeping your Preschooler Entertained at the Santa Justa Train Station

Mcdonalds. That is the answer. they have a play space. it is sort of pitiful in the sense that it doesn't have any equipment except a basketball hoop with no balls, and this strange little maze/obstacle course made of wood.

But it's a room where you kid can literally bounce off the walls and the bathrooms are clean and usually have soap and paper, and it's much more air-conditioned than the rest of Santa Justa Station.  Plenty of seating and they serve the best of all McFlurries, the Donettes McFlurry.* What more can you ask for, really?

So when your kid has looked through all the souvenir shops and you've dragged them kicking and screaming away from the giant Chupa Chup display in the chuchería, head on over to McDonalds for some quality AC, strong wifi, and shorter lines for the bathroom. And the food is not half bad--the breakfasts served at the dessert bar at the back are just as good as many bars in Seville.

Don't have so much fun, though, that you end up missing your train

*Yes, Spain did it, they made a CHOCOLATE DONUT FLAVORED mcflurry!
